1. THE ÎLES DU SALUT
Îles du Salut is also popularly known as the “Salvation Islands” used to be the favorite destination during the eighteenth century colonists until they were transformed into a penal colony. It is one of the historical places of the country. Approximately 2,000 convicts where held in its prison here many of them died because of inhumane conditions. It is today a peaceful place which has a lot of offer its visitors.
